    Your iPhone from Afterlife will arrive to you within 2-3 business days of placing your order.

    If you backed up a previous iPhone, log into your iCloud account to import your content and settings.

Why a membership model?

Our mission is to offer you a great experience and take ultimate responsibility for our hardware.

The membership model enables both—the ability to offer you a convenient monthly price, and to get the hardware back at its end-of-life to make sure it can be reused, refurbished, or recycled.

How does the membership model work?

Your monthly membership bundles access to an gently-used iPhone of your choice, free upgrades, and a lifetime warranty from defects.

When you cancel or upgrade your iPhone, you send the iPhone back to us to be evaluated for refurbishment or recycling.

What quality standards do your iPhones meet?

Each iPhone from Afterlife goes through our rigorous inspection, cleaning and approval process to meet the following standards:

Screen: Fully functional and in excellent condition, with no scratches or cracks.

Body: Fully functional with some minor, cosmetic micro-scratches. Free of dents and scuffs.

Battery health: 85% or greater upon shipment, 80% or greater over lifetime.

What does your lifetime limited warranty cover?

Our lifetime limited warranty is included with every membership, and warrants your device to be free of any manufacturing defects, including battery health below 80%.

"Limited" specifies that it doesn't cover everything, but we have a Protection Plan that cover even more.

What is the secure ID check process during checkout and why is it necessary?

To prevent fraud and ensure accountability, we perform an secure ID check after checkout via email and is required before shipping out your order.

After submitting your order, you’ll receive an email with a link to use Real ID.

You'll upload a photo of your driver’s license and take a selfie. The Real ID service will verify them, and we'll ship your order once approved.

What is the process for replacing an iPhone under the limited lifetime warranty?

If your iPhone from Afterlife doesn’t meet our quality standards through the duration of your membership, head to Fix My iPhone to share your iPhone's issues with the team.

We'll verify the problem and once confirmed, we will promptly send you a replacement phone of the same model or a comparable one if your current model isn't available.

When Apple releases the next iPhone line, how soon after can I expect to be able to upgrade my phone for free?

After the release of the latest iPhone line, we expect a 12 month waiting period until we can offer the previous generation to you.

This 12 month period allows for the natural progression of those choosing to purchase the latest phone to discard their current phone, and for Afterlife to collect and process the used phones from the previous generation.

What happens to my iPhone from Afterlife when I choose upgrade it?

When you choose to upgrade, you return your current iPhone to Afterlife. We then refurbish it for re-use or recycle it responsibly if it can't be refurbished. This ensures that every device is either given a new life or disposed of in an environmentally friendly manner.

If I decide to cancel my membership, what is the process? Are there any penalties?

Cancelling your Afterlife membership is straightforward and penalty-free. You simply notify us before your next billing cycle to avoid further charges, and return your device to us so we can prepare it for its next life cycle.

There are no cancellation fees, making it easy for you to end your membership at any time.
